Weather postpones FLL and JrFLL events in Dover

Message from Teshenia Hughes, Delaware’s JrFLL director:

Due to the predicted upcoming snow storm especially for our Northern Delaware and New Jersey teams….The DE FLL Staff is postponing the DSU FLL Qualifier and Jr.FLL Expo. We will reschedule the Qualifier and the Expo one week later on January 30, 2016.

Area youth attack world-wide problems: FLL Trash Trek

Scenes from FIRST LEGO League qualifying event held at Conrad School of the Sciences on Jackson Avenue in Wilmington last Saturday.  Elementary and middle school students from around the state — as well as teams from NJ and MD– gathered to demonstrate their problem-solving, team-building, and robotic skills. Nine teams qualified to advance to the First State FLL Champion’s Tournament next February.

Let the fun begin! Teams of elementary and middle school students around the world have been challenged to solve an important problem…. How can we deal with all the trash that humans create?

Delaware students can plan and prepare now for competitions and events taking place in fall and winter 2015-16.
