Let the fun begin! Teams of elementary and middle school students around the world have been challenged to solve an important problem…. How can we deal with all the trash that humans create?

Delaware students can plan and prepare now for competitions and events taking place in fall and winter 2015-16.

 2015 Duel on the Delaware

In two action-packed robotic events this October 17, robots are coming to the Davidow Fieldhouse at Salem Community College in Carneys Point Township, New Jersey.

At the Duel on the Delaware, an off-season FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC) competition, over 30 teams of high school students from the mid-Atlantic area go head to head in one more opportunity to play last season’s game. The annual event, co-hosted by FSR team, MOE 365 and FRC 316, the Lunatecs kicks off at 8:45 am and goes till 5 pm. This event is free and open to the public.   

At the Duel on the Delaware FTC Scrimmage, more than 20 FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams from around the region will mark the opening of 2015-16 season and participate in robotics workshops and an informal scrimmage jointly sponsored by Diamond State FTC, New Jersey FTC and Pennsylvania FTC. The middle school and high school- aged students are challenged each September to design and build robots for a brand new game. FTC Notebook Workshop

An invitation to  FTC  teams

Please join FTC team Rhyme Know Reason 8528 on Saturday, August 22, 2015 for a Notebook Writing Workshop. 

 We will be working on improving your team’s notebook by focusing on content and detail. Different formatting options will be introduced, including handwritten and electronic.

We will be doing a short build activity so please bring your safety glasses.

 

The event will be from 9:30-11:30.  If you would like to join us for lunch after the activity, please bring $5 per person for the pizza.  


The event will be held at  DuPont, Chestnut Run Plaza, 974 Centre Road; Building 700, the Cafeteria.
