Terry Moore named FSFLL Volunteer of Year

Saturday, February 15, at FSFLL Championship event held at Delaware Air National Guard Base in New Castle, FSFLL program director, Lou Rosanio recognized Mrs.Terry Moore for her 13 years of service with FLL Planning Committee as First State Judge Advisor, presenting her with the volunteer of year award. As judge advisor, Terry has been responsible for training and overseeing the judging experience at all FSFLL qualifier and DE FLL championship events. Also, she facilitates judges’ final deliberations and validates state/regional finalists who may continue on to higher levels of competition.

Looking back, Rosanio remarked, “Without the dedication of people like Terry, First State FLL could never have grown to the size it is today and influence over 15,000 students here in Delaware over the past 13 years.”

Next Generation Grant awarded to MOE 365 and MOE FTC

In January, Next Generation of the Delaware Community Foundation awarded a $6500 grant for STEM education jointly to teams MOE365 FRC and FTC for new 3D printer, a CAD computer and video editing software. The teams will utilize the equipment for robot design and fabrication as well as in team promotion, outreach and education.

The Next Generation of the Delaware Community Foundation (Next Gen) is a philanthropic organization whose mission is to develop young professionals into effective nonprofit board leaders.

 

 

2013 Duel on the Delaware

On October 19th, 2013, over 30 FRC teams  met at Salem Community College in Carneys Point Township, New Jersey for a packed day of competition, fun, and spirit in an annual event co-hosted by MOE 365 and FRC 316, called the Duel on the Delaware.

At the same time, more than 20 FTC teams from around the region joined for a high spirited workshop and scrimmage event sponsored by Diamond State FTC to start the FTC build season.
